The icy air covered Scotland. For a few minutes, the wind stops blowing, and everything went silent. For a moment there were no birds, no people, no cars. Just me and the whalebone-white pales of snow and the trees cloaked with a gentle hush. The sun just got up adding the pastel shimmers to the unreachable hills. It was terrific, surprising, stunning and cold. The perfect reward of the winter day.
